Praxis Independence provides residential properties specifically prepared to support Independent Living Trials (ILTs) and complex rehabilitation pathways.
Our role is to ensure housing is available, appropriate and adaptable, enabling clinical teams to assess independence safely and fundholders to evidence need with confidence.

We provide short- to medium-term residential placements designed to support ILTs, including:
Houses and apartments suitable for independent living assessments
Properties capable of supporting live-in or visiting care packages
Flexible occupancy aligned to rehabilitation timelines and case progression
Placements are structured to support transition planning, whether toward permanent housing, supported living or alternative long-term arrangements.

Where required, properties are reviewed and adapted in line with occupational therapy guidance, including consideration for:
Level access and circulation
Wet rooms and accessible bathrooms
Bedroom configuration for clients and carers
Safe moving and handling requirements
Future-proofed layouts that reduce the need for extensive re-work
Adaptations are delivered proportionately, evidence-led and appropriate to the client’s clinical presentation.
